CARRIE A. LUMI is a member of the Firm's Family Law Department.  She is experienced in the diverse areas of matrimonial and family law litigation, including divorce and dissolution, custody, child support, alimony and equitable distribution.  Ms. Lumi's practice also encompasses the representation of clients in domestic violence proceedings and matters involving the Division of Youth and Family Services.  In addition, she has a wealth of experience in handling matters before the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division and the New Jersey Supreme Court.  Ms. Lumi has participated in several pivotal appellate decisions, including Division of Youth and Family Services v. J.L. and T.L., in the Matter of O.L., a Minor, which modified the burden-shifting approach in certain DYFS actions and State v. Laura Moran, in which the New Jersey Supreme Court established guidelines for determining whether license revocation is appropriate for particular motor vehicle violations.  Her breadth of appellate experience allows her to seamlessly guide clients through the entire litigation process, even when the matter continues beyond the trial court level.

Ms. Lumi is admitted to practice law in the State of New Jersey and before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.  She received her bachelor of arts degree from Ursinus College, Collegeville, Pennsylvania and earned her juris doctor from The Dickinson School of Law, Carlisle, Pennsylvania.  Ms. Lumi served as law clerk to the Honorable Anthony J. Mellaci, Jr., J.S.C. for the 1997-1998 term, when he was assigned to the Superior Court of New Jersey, Chancery Division - Family Part, Monmouth County.  Ms. Lumi joined Lomurro, Davison, Eastman & Muñoz in May 2000 and presently maintains her office in the Firm's Toms River location.  Since 2006, she has been listed by her peers as a "Rising Star" in the annual recognition of New Jersey Super Lawyers by New Jersey Monthly Magazine**.

Ms. Lumi is active in numerous professional and community endeavors.  She is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, where she serves on the Appellate Practice Committee, as well as the Ocean County and Monmouth Bar Associations.  She is also an Associate Editor for the New Jersey Family Lawyer publication.  Ms. Lumi is a founding board member of The Charitable Fund of Lomurro, Davison, Eastman & Muñoz, Inc., a non-profit corporation established by the Firm to directly benefit local individuals and families who have suffered a personal or financial hardship.  She is the immediate past-president and present vice-president of The Charitable Fund and also serves as co-chair of the Golf Committee, which coordinates its annual charity golf outing.
