JAMES A. PAONE, II, is a partner in the Firm's Corporate/Commercial and Civil Litigation Department. His many years of experience include handling the defense of commercial, corporate, construction and general liability matters. The New Jersey Supreme Court has designated Mr. Paone as a Certified Civil Trial Attorney.

Since joining Lomurro, Davison, Eastman & Muñoz, Mr. Paone has continued to concentrate his practice in the defense of general liability, business and public entity cases. In addition, Mr. Paone represents private corporations engaged in bidding on public construction projects and represents clients in matters involving construction and commercial litigation.

Prior to joining Lomurro, Davison, Eastman & Muñoz, Mr. Paone was a partner with Carton & Faccone in Avon, N.J. While at Carton & Faccone, Mr. Paone's practice concentrated in the defense of commercial, public entity and civil rights matters. During that time, he was responsible for all phases of civil litigation including pre-trial discovery, motions, depositions, jury and non-jury trials. He has litigated extensively in both State and Federal Courts. Additionally, Mr. Paone serves as an arbitrator for State Farm, Allstate and New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Companies. Mr. Paone is a frequent speaker at seminars on Civil and Trial Practice.

Mr. Paone received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Washington & Lee University in 1986. He earned his Juris Doctor Degree from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1989. He was the Director of Seton Hall University School of Law Moot Court Competition.

Mr. Paone currently serves as a Special Ethics Master for the Office of Attorney Ethics. He served as Chair of the District IX Panel of the New Jersey Supreme Court's Ethics Committee. He is the President of the Monmouth Bar Association and a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association. He is the President of the Board of Trustees of Autism New Jersey. He is also a member of the Defense Research Institute (Construction, Employment, Government Liability and Trial Committees).

Mr. Paone resides in the Township of Old Bridge with his wife and three children.
