LORYN M. LAWSON in an associate in the Firm's Corporate Law Department. Ms. Lawson earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Virginia and her Juris Doctor from Catholic University, Columbus School of Law. While attending Catholic University, Columbus School of Law, Ms. Lawson was a Student Attorney for the Families and the Law Clinic. Ms. Lawson represented domestic violence victims in attaining temporary civil protection orders and divorces, as well as other domestic relations issues. She was also a Legal Intern for the United States Department of Justice, Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs Section in Washington, D.C. where she conducted research on extraterritorial issues in the field of criminal law. In 2003 Ms. Lawson served as judicial clerk for Honorable Vincent LeBlon of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Middlesex County, Civil Division.

Ms. Lawson was previously an associate at Wolff & Samson, P.C. where she focused her practice in Commercial Litigation with an emphasis in Employment Law. As a commercial litigator, Ms. Lawson regularly represented management in all types of employment related matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage & hour issues, as well as other business related torts before the State Courts and Administrative Agencies. In addition to litigation, Ms. Lawson regularly counseled employers in connection with the development and implementation of employment policies, the development and updating of employee handbooks, along with other employment management issues. Ms. Lawson also negotiated and drafted various forms of employment agreements, including nondisclosure agreements, severance agreements and non-solicitation agreements. Ms. Lawson is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and New York.

Ms. Lawson is currently a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and is a member of the Executive Committee of the Labor and Employment section. She is also on the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Women Lawyer Association as a co-chair on the Diversity Task Force. In addition, she is a member of the Monmouth Bar Association, and a co-chair of the Association's Young Lawyer Division. Ms. Lawson is also Vice-President on the Board of Directors of Family Promises, Inc. (Monmouth County), which is a nonprofit organization committed to helping low income families achieve lasting independence.
