Loren
Rosenberg Lightman is a member of the firm’s municipal
law department. Ms. Lightman concentrates her practice
in the areas of Municipal Law, Community Association
Law and Labor and Employment Law. Her practice includes
assisting in representation of the following municipalities:
Freehold Township, Millstone Township and Holmdel Township.
Besides providing counseling on a wide
variety of state and municipal matters, Ms. Lightman
represents municipalities in connection with ordinance
drafting, affordable housing issues, municipal appeals,
bond forfeiture matters, and county tax appeals. She
also has an extensive background in Labor and Employment
Law and works with municipalities to formulate employment
policies and workplace strategies involving such areas
as discipline and discharge, harassment and compliance
with anti-discrimination laws and regulations in an
effort to minimize litigation as much as possible. Ms.
Lightman also provides public sector representation
with regard to collective bargaining negotiations and
handling matters before the Public employment Relations
Committee (“PERC”).
Ms.
Lightman is a member of the American Bar Association
and the New Jersey State Bar Association. She is also
a member of the New Jersey Chapter of the Community
Associations Institute and serves on the Member Education
Committee.
