Matthew A. Schiappa

Matthew A. Schiappa is a Partner who focuses his practice on representing plaintiffs in personal injury, medical malpractice and product defect cases. Mr. Schiappa also represents Petitioners in workers compensation matters.

In 2013, Mr. Schiappa received the designation as a Certified Civil Trial Attorney by the New Jersey Supreme Court. He was admitted to the New York Bar and the New Jersey Bar in 1997 as well as the Pennsylvania Bar in 2007.

Prior to joining Lomurro Davison, Mr. Schiappa was a partner of the law firm of Clemente Mueller, P.A. wherein he defended clients in asbestos, toxic tort, environmental and construction defect cases. For the last several years there, Mr. Schiappa began developing a practice representing plaintiffs in medical malpractice actions. Mr. Schiappa completely transitioned to the Plaintiff’s side of the practice when he joined the Galex Law Firm in 2010 and thereafter, when the Galex Law Firm was merged into in 2012.

In addition to being admitted to and appearing in the State Courts of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, Mr. Schiappa is admitted to and has appeared in the Federal Districts Courts for the District of New Jersey, the Southern District of New York and the Eastern District of New York. Mr. Schiappa is also admitted to and has argued cases before the Second Circuit and Third Circuit Court of Appeals.

Mr. Schiappa is a member of several professional associations including the New Jersey Association for Justice, the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Trial Attorneys of New Jersey, the Monmouth Bar Association and the Middlesex County Bar Association.
