Thomas
M. Comer is Chairman of the firm’s civil litigation
and personal injury departments. Mr. Comer has been
designated by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Certified
Civil Trial Attorney. Since 1988, he has been handling
civil matters that range from complex products liability
and professional malpractice cases, to actions involving
serious personal injuries caused by automobile accidents,
poor property maintenance and other acts of negligence.
After law school Mr. Comer became the judicial clerk
for Michael D. Farren, J.S.C., the presiding Judge,
Civil Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey,
Monmouth County. Between 1988 and 2003, he was a member
of a firm that eventually became known as Rudnick, Addonizio,
Pappa & Comer, in Hazlet, NJ. He was the attorney
for the Neptune Township Zoning Board of Adjustments
from 1993 to 1997. In 2003, Thomas joined LDEM as a
senior associate and then became a partner in our litigation
department, focusing almost exclusively on plaintiff’s
injury claims.
Mr. Comer is active in professional associations that
educate and support trial attorneys. He is a member
of the American Association for Justice. He is also
a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association –
New Jersey where he serves on the Executive Committee,
the Board of Governors, as well as the Insurance Bad
Faith Committee. He is active in the Monmouth Bar Association
where he is a member of the Unauthorized Practice of
Law Committee.
